(re)connecting.earth is part of the association art-werk based in Geneva, Switzerland, which is recognized as a non-profit organization by the State of Geneva. art-werk and (re)connecting.earth is governed by a Director who is responsible for the policies and management of the organization. It also has a Supervisory Board responsible for supervising the policy plan of the Director and the general business of the association and its related organization. The Board offers counsel to the Director. The Supervisory Board of the association art-werk includes Romain Geiser, Dr. Timothée Fontolliet (Treasurer), Dr. Christine Nippe (Consultative) Mikaël Ivan Roost (President), Nikos Topulos (Secretary) while Bernard Vienat serves as the Director.

The aim of the non-profit association art-werk / (re)connecting.earth is to promote mutual cooperation and communication among different cultural institutions and to initiate and execute a recurring interdisciplinary manifestation as well as everything related or conducive to the foregoing.

As a platform of co-creation, (re)connecting.earth connects a diverse group of artists, and scientists with local citizens and grassroots communities to tackle societal questions raised by the Host City. The goal is to reshape the relations between culture and society by investigating and catalyzing positive social change in Europe through art, science, and participation in continuous dialogue with all partners involved and the host Cities.

art-werk / (re)connecting.earth believes in creating sustainable legacies in a changing society, and its nomadic role challenges us to look at the world through the eyes of our Host Cities, generating new visions and perspectives. By combining interdisciplinarity with a participatory approach, we empower citizens, art communities, and cities to rethink the way we live, work, and communicate.
